 Application of psychological principles to solve human problems has acquired new dimension with the changing nature of the challenges that the world faces today. In view of this, the scientific discipline of applied psychology has emerged as a natural process of evolution in the knowledge base. It has gathered spectacular momentum in recent years. In this context a post-graduate training in applied psychology has been a need of the time. It demands a comprehensive curriculum. For preparing the applied psychologists of the future, equipping them with skills and adequate knowledge-bases, attempt has been made to incorporate professional training in three principal domains of the discipline such as: (A) Clinical and Health Psychology, (B) Organizational Behaviour and (C) Social Psychology, as specializations, apart from focusing on understanding of the fundamental psychological processes, and research methods in applied psychology.

Admission for M.A. Applied Psychology

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ADMISSION:

Candidates seeking admission to the Masters degree course should have passed the relevant qualifying examination and fulfill the ‘Eligibility Requirements’. Further details are available in the admission brochure.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The selection of the candidates for admission to the Applied Psychology course are made on the basis of their performance in an Admission Test conducted by the Department. The Written Test consists of objective type questions covering basic knowledge in the subject of Psychology at the undergraduate level. Based on the performance in the Written test, eligible candidates will be called for group discussion and interview. A.

The multiple choice questions would be drawn from the following areas :

(a) General Psychology

(b) Social Psychology

(c) Research Methods & Statistics in Psychology

(d) Clinical Psychology

(e) Industrial Psychology/Organisational Behaviour

3. B.A. Courses/B.Sc. Courses/B.Ed. and B.EL.Ed./Bachelor’s degree with Hons. in any Subject/Masters degree in any subject/M.B.B.S./BAMS/BUMS/BHMS or MBA./ B.Tech., BE./ L.L.B./ L.L.M./ B.B.S./ B.C.A. and B.M.M. of Delhi University or other Universities recognized by Delhi University. 60% marks or above in aggregate
