Training on Cybersecurity and Digital Hygiene (January 6, 2025)
A half-day Training Program on Cyber Security and Cyber Hygiene for girl students was successfully conducted at the University of Delhi on January 6, 2026, under the STEM Connect HER program. The program was organised by the Delhi University Computer Centre (DUCC) and the Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB) in collaboration with the Asia Foundation and CyberPeace. The training witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 134 girl students of STEM Courses from various departments and colleges of the University of Delhi, including the Faculty of Technology, Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB), Cluster Innovation Centre, Institute of Informatics & Communication, Daulat Ram College, PGDAV College, Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), College of Vocational Studies, Aryabhatta College, Maitreyi College, Mata Sundri College, Shyama Prasad Mukherji College, Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, among others. The program aimed to equip students with essential knowledge, tools, and reliable resources to protect themselves from emerging cyber threats. Participants were sensitized to risks such as deepfakes, online frauds, and data breaches, and were guided on practical steps to enhance their digital safety. Students were also encouraged to participate in cybersecurity hackathons and hands-on learning events. The session was highly interactive, fostering active discussions and engagement, and empowering young women to navigate the digital space safely and confidently.
