University of Delhi and I4C Sign MoU to Strengthen Cyber Safety and Capacity Building

The University of Delhi (DU) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 13 July 2026 at the Council Room, Vice Regal Lodge, University of Delhi, to promote collaboration in cybercrime prevention, cyber hygiene, cyber awareness, capacity building, academic engagement, research, internships and student participation.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Vikas Gupta, Registrar, University of Delhi and Shri Nishant Kumar, Director, I4C, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The collaboration was facilitated under the initiative of Prof. Sanjeev Singh. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. K. Ratnabali, along with senior officials from the University of Delhi and I4C.

The partnership aims to foster a cyber-aware academic ecosystem through joint initiatives such as awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, hackathons, student competitions, internships, cyber volunteer engagement, and promotion of UGC-notified cyber security courses. It will also facilitate knowledge sharing and strengthen collaboration between academia and government in advancing cybersecurity education and digital resilience.

This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of the University of Delhi and I4C to building a secure, resilient and digitally responsible society through continuous awareness, innovation, and capacity building.
