The Delhi University Computer Centre (DUCC) is pleased to invite Faculty Members and Research Scholars of the University of Delhi and its Colleges to a Hands-on Training Session on ChemDraw, Mnova, Gaussian & GaussView, aimed at enhancing research capabilities in chemical structure drawing, molecular visualization, computational chemistry, and quantum-chemical analysis.

Software Overview

Software                     Main Purpose

ChemDraw                  Drawing chemical structures, reactions, and molecular schemes; generating chemical names and formulas; and exporting structures.
Mnova                         Molecular visualization and analysis, including viewing and analysing molecular structures and computational chemistry results.
Gaussian                     Quantum-chemistry calculations, including geometry optimization, energy calculations, frequency analysis, electronic properties, TD-DFT, and related computational studies.
GaussView                   Graphical interface for Gaussian to build molecules, prepare input files, submit jobs, and visualize computational results.

  The session will provide participants with practical, hands-on exposure to the key features and applications of ChemDraw, Mnova, Gaussian, and GaussView. The training will focus on chemical structure drawing, molecular visualization, computational chemistry workflows, quantum-chemical calculations, and analysis and visualization of computational results.
